Snooth Wine Pro App Reviews

As someone who cares about their wine brands and has to navigate through the endless wineshops and liquor stores of NYC, this app has been excellent. I love being able to find stores by wine brand. And if Im low on time? I can find tasting notes and ratings with the click of the picture! the catalogue has also been a cool feature to keep track! Very impressed.

Not as good as wine access - but they too have gone downhill. Many wines not on site and many reviews missing...

Great search and review tool and a big improvement on photo search functionality. The ability to view articles from the site offline is useful and educational as well!

I keep loading wines into my cellar and they disappear. What a waste of time and money. Many wines are not here. Cant find a way to add them.

Ive been a fan of Snooth for some time and after playing with their new app, i can see theyve spent a lot of time rethinking it. Earlier versions didnt work so well. but this version works great! Taking wine notes is simple and the fact it matches every wine image taken is fantastic - 8 out of 10 matched automatically with the other two matched by tiny people inside the app. best wine app out there!

The way the Snooth app does wine scans is a big upgrade from the earlier version. It makes it really easy to keep track of everything Im tasting, and I can easily download my notes in my profile on the website. Kudos!

Great app - saves my wines for me and provides additional info. Really impressive!

I use this to find wines, rate wines and see what else I will like.

cannot believe the screen resolution is still built for ip4. Having all that empty and unused space is driving me nuts

Slow and inaccurate lookups. Functionality within app is limited. Needs ratings and reviews or something else valuable.

What little value it had pre-update, no longer exists.

Been using Snooth for a few years on my desktop. The app on my iPhone makes wine shopping so easy!

Maybe my needs are different from others, but this app is only about halfway there. I need an app to keep track of wines. If I drink a wine, I wanna be able to take a picture of it, rate it, and classify it, so I can remember it. Smooth sort of does this. I can rate a wine, but thats by lookup only so I cant use my own photo. I have no idea why notes are separate, or why the cellar is yet different. It doesnt make any sense that I cant search for a wine when creating a note or that I cant see the photos from my notes when Im looking at my rated wines. It makes no sense that I cant set the type, varietal, and region in my notes. It makes no sense that when I filter my rated wines, I cant see wines from my notes because they dont have the necessary meta data on varietal, region, etc. I paid five bucks for pro, but the description didnt explain why. Also, when the regular version asked me for a rating, it linked to the pro version in the App Store which of course I didnt have yet. It takes a lot of taps to set details in a note. Just let me lookup wines, edit them if I want to, save them, and find them again! I miss Wine Snob, discontinued from the App Store a couple years back. Still, its the best wine app out there. Keep up the good work. You guys have launched big updates regularly, heres hoping it gets better and better. Thanks!

I just bought the app. Ive tried looking up several bottles of wine. Every time it simples hangs while it attempts to load the wine from the snapped label. This is what I really wanted to work…the wine lookup. So far, Im disappointed. Hopefully this improves.

I just got this app because I like the idea of photographing wine labels to get information. Every time I click on "Scan Note" using either button (along the bottom or one of the 6 buttons on the main page) the app quits! Why is that happening? I am running iOS 5 on a 4s phone.

Great app! Love that it can figure out most wines from the label. It would be nice if there was a feature that showed tasting notes or ratings from the pros, rather than just other snooth users.

the photo recognition function is fun to whip out at the bar/dinner/when in-store shopping. ive also found the wishlist helpful. very pleased.

A promising idea, but a disaster of a product. I have tried the notes feature several times with ZERO response. The store locator works poorly. The app frankly stinks. Do not waste your money. I give the app ZERO STARS! and that is being generous.

This app is a complete joke. Ive been trying to use it (with updates) for probably 2 years. It has yet to do anything useful at all. The search by picture is absolutely comical. The shutter button is covered by a dialog box, and when you finally snap a picture the app crashes hard 100% of the time across updates and 3 different phones. I pull it out at parties now when the conversation turns to "worst app ever made". You cant do worse than Snooth! Programmed by morons. Im amazed this thing is even still around. Just. Freakin. Awful.
